When we
are born, our mind is open and ready to receive its instructions
for our individual survival. Its like we get the latest download
of information and become current and up to date with the
current world that we live in.
Our
programming comes from our parents or caregivers, the media, our
schools, friends and church (whatever form that might take),
just to name a few!
The information is stored
in our subconscious, and until about the age of 7, there is no
barrier to the information that we receive. From 7 through to
about 14 the barrier begins to build, and the information that
is allowed to be stored in the subconscious becomes more and
more filtered. By the time we reach 18, we have developed our
critical faculty. This is essentially the filter that
information has to pass through in order to reach and be stored
in the unconscious mind.
The information that we
store becomes our beliefs and values, which in turn forms our
attitudes and behaviors.
Subliminal messaging, when done correctly, bypasses the critical
faculty and installs the new beleifs and values that we choose
directly into the unconscious. These new beliefs and values then
go onto change our attitudes and behaviours, and, open up a new
world for us.
